US TARIFF UPDATE
TO OUR US CUSTOMERS,
The US government has announced a new round of tariff increases and the removal of the de minimis exemption, which allowed orders under $800 to enter the United States without any extra charges. Starting on August 29th, all shipments from Canada to the US, whether or not under $800, will now incur a tariff of up to 35%.
Despite the loss of the de minimis exemption, our pieces are made in Canada and should be protected by the CUSMA/USMCA free trade agreement between our two countries. However, it is still unclear how they will be treated by US customs officials when entering the US and may, in fact, incur a tariff and/or brokerage fees.
Orders placed by or before August 21st will be able to ship before August 29th. If you have your eye on something and wish to avoid any potential additional charges, we recommend ordering by no later than the 21st.
We will continue to update you as we know more. We want to thank you for your continued support of our small business as we navigate these new policies together.
Please allow 3 to 7 business days for your order to be processed before shipping. You will be notified once your order has been shipped; we will notify you as soon as possible of any delays.
Please note that once an order is shipped, we are unable to make any changes or accept any cancellations. We do not guarantee delivery dates.
Upon placing your order, a confirmation will be sent via e-mail with the total dollar amount of your purchase, including any applicable taxes and shipping and handling charges. Canadian customers will pay GST/HST according to their provincial rate.
US and international customers are responsible for all taxes and import duties levied by their respective jurisdictions; payment of these taxes/duties may be necessary before your order will be released from customs.
Michelle Ross Design is not responsible for packages that are lost*, damaged in transit, or stolen upon delivery. Please double check your billing and shipping address when placing an order, as we are unable to reroute packages once they leave our studio.
*Packages are rarely lost, but when they are, we often find they do show up. If your package is lost or stolen, our first and best recommendation is to file a claim with the postal service used to ship; then, contact us to let us know. We will do our very best to help you!
Shipping is complimentary for all orders of CAD $150 or more sent with standard shipping via Canada Post or another reputable carrier of our choice. Orders under CAD $150 will be charged a $12 shipping fee. A faster service is available via UPS for $45. All domestic shipments with contents valued at $500 or more require a signature. All orders are shipped with tracking and delivery confirmation.

Shipping is complimentary for all orders of CAD $150 or more sent via USPS. Orders under CAD $150 will be charged a $12 shipping fee. All shipments with contents valued at $500 or more require a signature. All orders are shipped with tracking and delivery confirmation.

Overseas orders will be charged a standard shipping fee ranging from CAD $40 to CAD $80 depending on the value of the order. A faster service is available via DHL for CAD $95. All shipments with contents valued at $500 or more require a signature. All orders are shipped with tracking.
Please note additional import, customs, and sales taxes may be added separately in accordance with your state or country’s specific requirements and are your responsibility to pay. We have no control over these charges. Therefore, they are not included in Michelle Ross Studio's shipping prices.

PLEASE NOTE SHIPPING IS NOT COVERED ON CUSTOM ORDERS
We invite you to reduce packaging waste by opting for minimal packaging.
At check out, you are able to choose to receive minimal packaging. If you choose this option, we will ensure your pieces are well protected but shipped with as little packaging material as possible. We always ship in at least one jewellery box, however if there are multiple pieces within your order, we may include more than one item in a box while carefully protecting each piece included. For minimal packaging, no additional branded content such as bio cards, belly band or a thank you note will be included. The packing slip will always be included in the shipment.
